About Ryan

Hi, I'm Ryan, a friendly, patient and dedicated Year 9 student with a strong interest in Math and Science. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes and improve without feeling pressured.

As a student in the Victorian Curriculum, I have current experience with the types of Math and Science topics students are learning at school. I am particularly interested in helping students in Years 4–8 with homework, revision, difficult concepts and assessment preparation.

I take my tutoring responsibilities seriously and prepare for each lesson so that our time is useful and focused. My goal is not just to help students complete their work, but to help them understand the concepts and develop greater confidence in their own abilities.

I may be a student myself, but I believe this gives me a useful perspective when working with younger students. I understand the challenges students can face at school and can explain concepts in a straightforward and relatable way.

I look forward to helping students improve their Math and Science skills while making learning more enjoyable and rewarding.

About the lesson

explain concepts step-by-step, use examples and practice questions, and encourage students to ask questions whenever they are unsure. Rather than simply giving students the answers, I help them understand how to solve problems independently and build confidence in their own abilities.

A typical lesson would be around 45–60 minutes. I would usually start by reviewing what the student already knows, then focus on the topic they need help with. We can finish with practice questions or a short recap to make sure they understand what we covered.

I am familiar with the Victorian Curriculum through my own experience as a student and am confident teaching Math and Science. I am particularly interested in helping primary and junior secondary students who need support with homework, revision, understanding new concepts or preparing for school assessments.

My lessons are mainly aimed at students around Years 4–8. I will always try to adapt the lesson to the student's current ability and learning style so they feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace.

I am patient, friendly and committed to helping students become more confident and independent learners.
