About Ashley

I have always enjoyed academia, in particular mathematics, which allowed me to achieve eight grade 9s at GCSE. However, a key aspect of my learning was having amazing teachers who cared about my learning and progress. This led me to become a maths mentor in sixth form and to tutor several GCSE students. Furthermore, I believe I have a unique perspective on tutoring since I am an A-level student myself. This allows me to connect and build relationships with my students easier.

I use various teaching tools, from visual aids to hands-on activities, to keep lessons dynamic. Having tutored students across multiple age ranges, from primary school to A-levels, I understand the different needs at each educational stage. Regular assessments and feedback help tailor lessons to specific areas for improvement. I am committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My aim is to improve grades and foster a genuine interest in mathematics. To keep parents informed, I provide regular updates and detailed feedback on their child’s progress, strengths, areas for improvement, and strategies used. Through personalised attention and a focus on individual progress, I strive to make each tutoring session a positive and productive experience.
