About Holly
In my school I am debating captain, and the editor for the yearbook. I have been a volunteer tutor at school as well as coaching students in debating and being a peer support leader and class senior. Because of these opportunities I have been able to work with younger students on a regular basis, I enjoy tutoring as I think it creates a challenge in designing lessons around particular students and understanding what techniques work for different individuals.

When working with students, I find it valuable to design lessons around them. Shorter and more interactive lessons generally work better with younger students. I have experience working with primary school students through my role as a class senior, as well as with intermediate and high-school students through being a peer tutor. For most ages, I would suggest hour-long lessons, particularly to begin with, in order to get to know the students and understand what they need.
