About Mya
My name is Mya and I love learning and academics (especially humanities subjects and math) and I am among the top 20 students in my school. I love tutoring younger students because it allows me to help them feel more confident in their academic skills while developing their analyzing, evaluating and critical thinking skills, along with their organization, helping them improve their grades and develop a love and passion for learning.

I have been tutoring younger students for 3 years. A typical lesson lasts between 1 hour and an hour and a half and during that lesson my typical approach (although this varies and changes based on the individual's needs) is to first do some review practice of everything they have previously learned in that unit and then go through the work they didn’t understand during class and their homework and then practice those skills.
