About Alyssa
I’m passionate, patient, encouraging and have always had a passion for working with children. I have been an extension math student for 7 years and have developed a keen interest in the subject that I want to share with others. I am a firm believer that math gets a bad reputation purely because the way schools teach it doesn’t accommodate the needs of all students and that spending extra one-to-one time with them can be crucial to developing an interest in the subject.

I want to focus on my student properly understanding the content, not just memorizing formulas. Building a strong base before VCE is vital so I place a lot of value on comprehension of concepts that are being taught in class. The lessons would be between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours by request of the student and their family. I’d be tutoring students at a Year 9 extension level and below.
