About Emily
I have a 2.1 degree in Philosophy from the University of Essex obtained in 2016. Since the age of 16 I have had a profound interest in Philosophy as a discipline and have read a vast range of classic philosophical texts including The Republic and The Meditations. This interest naturally lead me to undertake a degree in Philosophy which I thoroughly enjoyed. Throughout, I focused in religion, and ended up writing a dissertation focused on religion exploring how anthropomorphism enters our concept of deity’s. Since graduating I have worked in higher education and I am currently a Project Manager for Henley Business School, University of Reading, helping less privileged school kids to learn of career options available to them.

I like an even back and forth exchange between teachers and pupils. I believe it is important to learn through a multitude of practices - ie not just pupils listening to a teacher speak. I encourage interaction and open debate.
