About Tolu

Hi, I’m Tolu Roberts, a Year 13 student currently predicted to achieve A*AA in my A-Level exams. I’m deeply passionate about education and helping others reach their academic potential. Over the years, I’ve honed my study skills and exam techniques, and I understand the importance of not just knowing the content but knowing how to approach exams effectively. As someone with ADHD and Autism, I have always struggled to enjoy or thrive in traditional classroom settings and understand the frustration of not being able to learn properly. I believe in creating a supportive, interactive, and engaging learning environment, where every student feels confident in their abilities and excited about their progress. I believe in the importance of teaching Resilience to learners, as entailed in a Ted X Talk I gave in late October 2024. I build off of the steps I gave in this talk with my students to help them tailor their learning to their needs and learning styles. I’m motivated by the opportunity to help students gain not only the knowledge they need but also the confidence to tackle their exams head-on and achieve their goals.

About the lesson

As a Year 13 student predicted an A*AA at A-Level, I am passionate about helping students excel in their academic journey, particularly in preparation for the 11+, SATs, and GCSE exams. I offer tailored lessons built off of the tips and steps given in my Ted X Talk, designed to cater to the individual learning styles and needs of my students. With personal experience in excelling at these exams, I understand the challenges they present and the strategies required to achieve top marks. In my lessons, I focus on building a strong foundation of knowledge, exam technique, and time management skills, all while ensuring that learning remains engaging and motivating. Whether you're aiming for high marks in your 11+ entrance exams, seeking to improve your SATs results, or looking to refine your GCSE preparation, I will guide you step-by-step to unlock your full potential. With a mix of theory and practice, I use past papers, targeted exercises, and mock exams to ensure that my students are fully prepared for whatever the exams may throw at them.
