About Manasvi

I am a high-achieving Y11 student who currently attends the Henrietta Barnett School for Girls. I am enthusiastic, dedicated with a strong work ethic and I am looking to gain real work experience via tutoring. I have done similar work by helping prepare my sister for her 11+ as well as being well-versed in KS3 topics.
Some of my relevant key achievements are my subject awards in English, which shows my passion for that subject and my role as a Marketing manager which shows that I am suited to leadership roles. I also achieved a Silver award in theGalactic challenge andvarious awards within the UKMT - JMC and IMC further showing my passion towards maths and physics.
Overall I am efficient,organized and responsible and would love to help both KS3 and 11+ students achieve their best results.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my main goal is to create an engaging and effective learning environment for my students. I use an iterative learning method, which means that I focus on reviewing and reinforcing previous concepts before moving on to new ones. This approach ensures that students build a strong foundation and fully understand the subject matter in-depth.
My teaching methodology involves using a combination of quizzes and active learning worksheets. Quizzes help assess the student's understanding, identify areas of improvement, and reinforce important concepts. Active learning worksheets encourage students to actively participate in the learning process, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Typically, my lessons are structured to be about 1 hour in length. However, I am flexible and can extend the duration based on the student's needs or requests.

My lessons are primarily targeted at two groups of students. Firstly, I am happy to teach 11+ students in year 4/5 who are preparing for grammar school entrance exams. I can provide them with valuable tips, practice materials, and guidance to excel in these competitive tests. Secondly, I am open to tutoring KS3 students in years 7, 8, and 9. For them, I can help reinforce their understanding of various subjects, provide additional support for challenging topics, and assist with homework and assignments.

My qualifications and experience as a high-achieving grade 9 student with knowledge of 11+ tests and KS3 topics make me well-suited to support and guide year 4/5 and KS3 students in their academic journey.
