About Elsie
I am a theatre director and writer who has been tutoring English at a high level for several years. All my students have gained confidence, developed their personal voice and gone on to achieved top marks in their final exams.

My teaching is very student-centric. I begin my work with each student by reviewing their past work, identifying blocks and barriers to expression, understanding or attitudes to the subject. I encourage them to set their own goals and to bring more of their own interests, thoughts, critical thinking and personality to their engagement with the subject. I teach by teaching the whole person, and believe that in English, understanding, logic and argument comes first and lucidity and style follow.
