About Andrew
Hello, my name is Andrew Caleshu. I’m a math major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, currently studying rigorous proof-based mathematics. But I've been where you are. In high school, I was an IB HL math student who spent countless hours trying to make my confused brain not confused. I took the SAT five times, eventually earning a perfect 800 in Math.
I’ve worked through the same algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus courses that many students find frustrating. I get it.
I’ve always been interested in math, not just for solving problems, but for understanding how and why things work. Over time, I realized that many students don’t struggle because math is too hard, but because the explanations they’ve seen never made things click.
That’s what I focus on—helping students build clarity, confidence, and reach that moment where everything finally makes sense. You're closer than you think.

My teaching style focuses on making math actually click. We go step-by-step through problems so you understand why methods work, not just what steps to follow. I focus on clear explanations, guided practice, and helping you build the confidence to solve problems independently.
A typical lesson starts with the concept you’re stuck on, followed by a short explanation and practice problems worked through together. As we go, I help remove confusion and build understanding so the material starts to feel intuitive.
I work with middle school, high school, and early college students in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, and SAT Math. Whether you need help catching up, preparing for a test, or strengthening your foundation, I tailor each session to your level and goals.
