I use a structured approach using specially designed questions that cover each topic in turn and gradually increase in difficulty. We will use these to identify particular weaknesses and can reteach topics where necessary. This helps to identify gaps in knowledge and significantly improve exam technique, generally boosting the students grade by one or two grades if sessions are relatively consistent throughout the year - or on an as you need basis for students with already well developed study habits.
