About Sewit

Hello! My name is Sewit Eyob. I am a post-graduate in Biomedical Engineering from McGill University. I have 2 years of experience in tutoring highschool and university students, mainly those in STEM fields.

I strive to make our interaction very comfortable for you to ask questions and seek clarification. I understand how new study materials can be overwhelming and the key to overcome that is to ask everything about anything, however silly that may be.

I really appreciate criticism, so feel free to ask for better teaching aids and methods from me as well. I am here to help you achieve your academic goals.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology emphasizes a deep understanding of fundamental concepts. I break down complex topics into simpler, more digestible components. Typically, I begin a lesson with a review of previously learned material, followed by introduction of new concepts, aided by real-world examples and practical applications. I highly encourage students to ask questions, actively participate in discussions, and seek clarification. To tailor my lessons effectively, I request students to share their course outlines. This allows me to align my teaching with their specific curriculum needs.

With two years of experience in tutoring and still being a student myself, I create a supportive space where students feel comfortable to ask questions and engage with me.

My tutoring services are primarily aimed at high school and university students, particularly those pursuing STEM fields. I can assist with a wide range of subjects, including:

Mathematics: algebra, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, statistics and probability, linear algebra

Physics: mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics

Chemistry: general chemistry, organic/inorganic chemistry, biochemistry

Additionally, I offer specialized tutoring in subjects like molecular and cellular physiology, molecular genetics, bioinformatics, data mining and machine learning, and bioengineering concepts.
