About Hayley
I have fostered my love of english, history and politics through my high school education (competing in creative writing competitions, debating tournaments and writing for my high school newsletter) and into a bachelor of arts at UOW (where i am receiving Distinctions and High Distinctions for my subjects). I am wanting to kick start my teaching career before i begin my Masters by helping tutor and education others. My goal in life is to show people the beauty of literature and the wonders of history.

I am a heavy believer in visual learning, for primary and high school students to enjoy and absorb the information in the lesson, visual aspects (i.e. colour charts, mind maps, pictures, etc..) turn the lesson into something fun rather than reading from a textbook. I encourage students to focus on an aspect of the subject that they find the most interesting, thus developing the lesson around their personal interests and skills sets. i believe its important to find a balance between putting the student outside of their learning comfort zone and also creating a nurturing environment not just for educational but for mental health as well.

I am happy to negotiate prices depending on the level of education.
Along with the 1 hour lesson, i am available via phone call or text message for further help throughout the week.
I will review essays and essay plans in my own time to maximise learning time within the face-to-face lesson.
I offer lessons in English (standard and advanced for high school students and also undergraduate 1st and 2nd years), History (Modern and Ancient History and undergraduate years), Creative Writing, Politics (more geared towards undergraduates) and also Community and Family Studies.
