About Francisco
My academic background is in English and Philosophy. I’m a Wofford College graduate that has always enjoyed working with children. I’ve worked as a sailing instructor, assistant HS cross country coach, and a Barnes & Noble Kid’s Lead.
I’ve thrived on support from coaches and teachers throughout my career, so I know the importance of being a role model for the students of the next generation.
Aided by CPI and CPR training, I operate on a student-safety-first model and will always put the well being of pupils ahead of other goals.

My tutoring techniques give readers the confidence to view reading and writing in a revolutionary way!
Education includes, but is not limited to,
- verbal theatre warm-ups
- literary theory (in practice)
- epistemic reflection
- poetry explication
- creative writing challenges
- character development sheets
Did any of those words intimidate you? Even better!
My ideal students are those who have found English to be their toughest subject. Students who work with me will learn to love and appreciate the skills that come with studying the language arts.

“Quite the Character”, development
-student will select their favorite character from literature (May include comics, manga, etc.). Student completes sheet listing characters favorite foods, favorite games, biggest fear, happiest moment…). Once completed, the student will use their character sheet as a guide to write a conversation that they might have with the fictional character. Student should ask questions that may be informed by the character sheet, and student should be encouraged to have the character ask questions back! The goals of this exercise are to build student’s comfort with character analysis and aid in understanding other people’s POV (literary theory lessons will be based on this later on).
I hope you’ll join me in furthering a fulfilling study of literature.
