About Ellie

I am an English Literature and Politics graduate from the University of York. I have helped a number of students ranging from GCSEs to University Personal Statements. I specialise in the WJEC exam board and have previously tutored students with dyslexia.

About the lesson

GCSEs: I offer a friendly and personalised teaching method based on practising exam techniques, I often set practice essays to monitor improvement and boost the student's confidence. My usual lesson structure for GCSE language involves tackling practice essays together and practising language analysing techniques. Following the January exams many students have received disappointing results. My role as a tutor is to boost students' confidence and provide them with the tools necessary for their resits. I offer a friendly service where students' comfort and confidence is first and foremost. There's no such thing as a silly question and it's never too late to text it to me (unless you're already in the exam!) For Literature: We shall explore themes, quotes and motifs that can be applied to a range of exam questions. Practice essays shall be produced individually and together. Personal Statement: I assist with formatting, content and grammar.
