About Declan
I have been teaching mathematics for more than 2 years, supported by a BSc in Mathematical Sciences. My specialty is calculus, where I focus on making complex ideas digestible. Derivatives, integrals, and differential equations are no longer intimidating when explained step by step. My lessons connect abstract theories to real-world contexts. I teach mathematics with a focus on test preparation for SAT, GRE, and GMAT. My approach combines theory with practice in a structured way. Students start with concept clarity and then move on to targeted drills. Practice is done under time limits to build speed and confidence. I highlight common pitfalls like calculation errors or poor time use. Strategies for smart guessing and answer elimination are included. Every lesson includes discussion of problem-solving techniques. Students gain confidence by working on real exam-style questions. I use feedback to guide improvement and adjust lessons as needed. Confidence is as important as skill, so I train both. Practice tests are part of the process to simulate the real exam. By repeating this cycle, students improve steadily.
