There is no feeling of contentedness that compares to seeing your students achieve their goals in their future endeavors. I was inspired by the teachers whom I can never forget. As Brad Henry wisely said, “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.” With that inspiration and paying it forward, I wish to step forward and contribute with my teaching in upbringing of a society bolstered on ‘wisdom and knowledge.’

About the lesson

Traditional and didactic methods of teaching can be too direct and sometimes lack creativity to encourage critical thinking. Along with content mastery, I will use current affairs, news, and personal anecdotes to connect abstract concepts with a more practical approach. Attention spans of most students is less than 9 seconds, so to help them maintain their interest, I find being able to relate science with everyday life is very effective.
