About Travis
As a professor, performance storyteller, budding aerial circus performer, and student at Columbia University, I love learning from my students and bringing what I have learned to my classes.
I have seen great failures and successes in my life, and I now enjoy the outcomes of learning how to get back up when I get knocked down. I hope to bring the care, joy, and wisdom I have gained through these experiences to engage in the universals we find in literary works, writing, and test preparations.
I am always open to and interested in feedback with my students as I am committed to growing and learning as an educator!

My courses are student-centered and dynamic. I design my lessons around the needs, goals, and the interests of my students.
I enjoy using humor, stories, and critical thinking discussions to scaffold skill-building and learning new content knowledge from test prep and theoretical frameworks to essay writing.
I have experience working with all ages, backgrounds, and expressions of humans! My courses work well for middle school, high school, and college students as I am also a professor who teaches dual-enrollment classes at high schools and colleges.
