About Mittali
I am Mittali Shah, having graduated in B. SC (microbiology), and I have been in the teaching field for 8 years, specializing in teaching subjects and topics pertaining to math, science, and English to primary and secondary grade students. Based in Mumbai, I have conducted my classes in-person as well as online, with equal success and assurance of performance.

I have been working with students in the primary & secondary grades for over 8 years and I believe that learning mathematics should be easy, fun, and exciting. I try to teach fundamental concepts, not just how to memorize formulas or procedures. I teach ideas using age-appropriate examples, real life situations, visual methods and step by step problem solving so students know the why behind each answer.
I adjust my teaching style according to the pace of learning and the level of understanding of each student. I use a mix of explanation, demonstrations, practice questions, mental maths tricks, worksheets and regular review. I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes freely because I think mistakes are an important part of learning.
Usually, the class starts with a short revision of the concepts that were taught previously and then proceeds to the new topic. I then clarify the idea step by step with examples and then we solve the problems together. Then the student is asked to answer questions on their own which allows me to see and work on areas that need more help. The classes are concluded with a short review and practice work for the next class when applicable.
My great strength is that I am able to make hard mathematical concepts easy to understand. I have many years experience teaching young students, and I know that each child learns differently. I thus pay individual attention, go over concepts patiently when required and focus on building confidence and logical reasoning along with academic performance.
