About Micah

Since 2015, I’ve been dedicated to helping students master math through engaging, student-centered methods. I hold a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Clemson University (2009), a Master of Arts in Teaching from Liberty University (2020), and a Graduate Certification to teach from UNC Charlotte (2020). Currently, I am completing a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University to further enhance my ability to create impactful learning experiences. In 2019, I was honored as the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Teacher Assistant of the Year, recognizing my commitment to excellence in education. My teaching philosophy emphasizes problem-based learning, integrating technology to make math relatable and practical for students. By building strong relationships with students and parents, I cultivate a supportive environment that fosters growth, confidence, and success. I am passionate about helping students overcome challenges in math, equipping them with skills that extend beyond the classroom. My goal is to inspire a lifelong appreciation for learning and problem-solving in every student.
