About Lohitha
Hi! I’m Lohitha, a tutor passionate about helping students excel academically. I earned my B.S. in Neuroscience & Public Health from Vanderbilt University and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Pharmacology at UTHSC. My academic journey has been shaped by my love for science, problem-solving, and mentoring students. With experience as a Kumon instructor and college biology tutor, I’ve worked with students at different levels, tailoring my approach to their unique learning styles. I specialize in science, math, English, and ACT prep, helping high school and college students build confidence and master challenging concepts. Having scored a 34 on the ACT, I provide personalized strategies to improve test performance and reduce anxiety. I emphasize critical thinking over memorization, using real-world applications and step-by-step problem-solving to make learning engaging and effective.
