About Ornella

I currently work at a London college where I teach sports, but I also moonlight as a fun and understanding maths tutor! I specialise in helping students who might be struggling with maths, and I promise our lessons will be anything but boring. With my energetic and patient approach, we’ll turn those tricky problems into triumphs. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me playing football, boxing, scuba diving, or running. Let’s make maths fun and exciting together!

About the lesson

My tutoring sessions are all about getting involved and having fun while learning! I believe in a hands-on approach where students become the teacher too. For instance, I’ll print out past exam papers and ask my students to do the same. During our session, we'll go through the papers together—sharing answers, explaining our thought processes, and I like to make my pupils feel like we are learning from each other. This interactive method not only makes maths more enjoyable but also boosts understanding and confidence. My one-hour lessons are perfect for students aged 6 to 16, from Year 1 to GCSE level. With 8 years of tutoring experience—4 years in-person during my university days in London and now mostly online—I specialise in helping students who need to catch up or just need that extra boost. Let's make maths fun and succeed together!
