About Jaelyn
I am a Biology graduate from Williams College and a pre-med student with a strong background in biology and chemistry. I also have previous experience working as an after-school tutor with elementary school students, which taught me how important patience, encouragement, and adapting to each student's learning style can be.
I was also a collegiate hockey and golf athlete while balancing a demanding academic schedule. This experience taught me strong time-management and study skills that I enjoy sharing with students.
My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through challenging material. Whether you are looking for help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for an exam, or building stronger study habits, I will work with you to find an approach that works best for you.

My approach to tutoring is focused on making difficult subjects feel more manageable and helping students build confidence in their own abilities. As a Biology graduate and pre-med student, I have taken a wide range of biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and math courses at the college level.
A typical lesson might begin with a quick review of previous material, followed by an explanation of a new concept and guided practice. We can then work through practice questions together and finish by identifying what the student should review before the next lesson.
I am primarily offering tutoring for middle and high school students in biology and chemistry. I am also happy to work with students who are preparing for exams, catching up on material, or simply looking to strengthen their understanding of a subject.
