About Madison
I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor with years of experience supporting students from elementary through high school. I’ve worked with children in both academic and classroom settings, which has helped me develop a strong understanding of how students learn best. I’m currently studying neuroscience at William & Mary with the goal of becoming a pediatrician, and I love helping students build confidence and truly understand what they’re learning. I focus on clear explanations, patience, and creating a comfortable space where students feel confident asking questions. Outside of academics, I’m a major nerd who loves sci-fi and fantasy movies, reading, collecting figures, and gaming. I’m energetic, funny, relatable, and I enjoy connecting with students through science, pop culture, and shared interests to make learning both fun and meaningful.

Tutoring sessions are designed to be supportive, engaging, and confidence-building. Each session begins with identifying what the student is currently learning and where they feel unsure, followed by clear, step-by-step explanations of key concepts using examples and visuals. Lessons focus on understanding the “why” behind material rather than memorization, with guided practice and independent work to reinforce learning. Time is built in for questions, review, and reflection so students leave feeling confident and prepared. Sessions are flexible and adapted to each student’s learning style, making them ideal for elementary through middle school students who benefit from structured guidance, encouragement, and an interactive approach to learning.
