About Sylvia
I have been teaching since 1990. I have taught at the Kindergarden level through College.
I have tutored also under the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND program. Math and Reading, being a lead tutor and Supervisor.
I have taught millions of students over the period of 27years and have seen lots of success.
Some students have become teachers themselves, lawyers, doctors, police officers, beauty consultants,nurses, entrepreeneurs and fire fighters as they run into me in the community they greet me and remind me who they are.
I have also volunteered with the Catholic Charities to teach English Language Learners Programs to working adults who are trying to keep their jobs to take care of their families.
I have given lessons over the internet, face-to-face, over the telephone, one-on-one of in small or large group.

to include New York City, State of Connecticut etc.
I have Teacher Certifications in the areas of

Humanities 7-12 Public Education
General Education k-12 Public Education
My techniques and methods of instruction is the meet a student where they are in their studies. I will evaluate and test where they are at in their academic. I will then teach/tutor one on one to reach their goal then retest to determine their progress from time to time.
My goal is to have a student performing at at least one grade level above their level of education over the duration of the teaching.
I am a very dedicated teach who wants to see my students succeed.
