About Matthew

I am a recent Accounting graduate from Western University and am working towards completing a second degree in Financial Mathematics as well. I have worked in the financial analysis and accounting field. I am confident teaching most accounting subjects. I am excellent at evaluating a students learning style and crafting lessons around each individual students learning style.

I have been tutoring students for 5 years now. I have taught students in Grade 1 to third year University. I ensure that each student obtains the results they are looking for when they hire me and I always try to go above and beyond what they ask of me. This includes creating review work and reference sheets for my students free of charge if they feel they would benefit from them or if requested.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is flexible. I believe everyone learns things in different ways. I am very good at assessing how to teach someone a subject in a way they will understand and retain. Repetition and explaining things in an easy manner is the best approach I have found so far.

When you hire me you can expect an initial consultation free of charge. I will talk to the student, understand their goals, and propose a method of tutoring them that I believe will benefit them the most. I will then ask for the students and/or parents feedback on my plan until it is perfectly designed for that student. I will then create the customized plan and tutor the student until they reach their goals.
