I am a full-time educator with over seven years of classroom experience and a current MBA student at Lamar University pursuing a degree in Management while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen critical thinking skills, and achieve academic success in a supportive learning environment. My experience working with diverse learners has helped me develop a patient, adaptable teaching style focused on communication, engagement, and real-world understanding. My approach as a tutor is centered around patience, communication, and making learning feel less overwhelming. As both a full-time educator and current MBA student, I understand that every student learns differently, so I try to adapt my teaching style based on the individual student’s needs, strengths, and confidence level. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and when lessons connect to real-life situations they can understand.
My teaching methods focus heavily on guided practice, discussion, and breaking difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps. I like to model skills first, practice them together, and then gradually allow students to work independently while I provide feedback and support. I also use questioning strategies to encourage critical thinking instead of simply giving answers. Depending on the subject, I incorporate visuals, examples, practice problems, reading strategies, or discussion-based learning to help students stay engaged and retain information.
