About Carlos
I am a full stack web developer using leading technologies in Javascript (GraphQL, React, Redux, ES6, D3js, Cypress), as well as well established industry standards (git/github, circleci). I have experience in data driven development using RaphaelJS and, more recently, D3js.
I graduated first class and did a PhD in computer sciences (in the area of fuzzy logic programming). I have academic experience with C/C++, Python, Java, Haskell and Prolog.
The PhD also gave me relevant experience in teaching and conducting workshops for undergraduate and masters degree students. My experience in teaching includes foundations of programming, logic programming and data structures.
Programming is a hobby for me, as well as part of my job and education. Teaching is also one of my passions. That's why I am driven to combine them both.

Theory is balanced with practice. Every piece of theory is practiced by an exercise, presented in the form of a puzzle. My purpose is that the way the language works within the scope of each exercise is always clear and understood.
As we dig into the theory we may revisit previous puzzles to give them a second look, a newer implementation or a new purpose.
The goal is to achieve full competence in the language, and acquire the skills necessary to be able to reach competence in other languages in a timely manner.
