About Michael
I am 24 years old, and I am currently pursuing a masters degree in statistics from Washington University in St. Louis. I know that learning mathematics can be a difficult and frustrating experience at times (it certainly has been for me). My aim is really to provide encouragement and offer different perspectives on each topic so that I can find the best possible explanation for each student.

I have generally struggled learning mathematics in school. Many topics were initially counter intuitive for me, but over time, I have learned that through perserverance, and finding the best explanation of a topic for me, I have been able to master material. I performed very well in during my undergraduate degree, graduating with a distinction from the statistics department.
My aim as a tutor is to find out the best way to explain a topic to each individual student, and to remind them that it is absolutely ok not to understand something immediately; struggling with content is a normal part of learning mathematics-- it does not mean you're a bad student!
