I want to teach my students to stand out and not average learners

I want my students to feel confident, capable, and proud when they speak French whether they’re in class, speaking to their teacher, or visiting Paris. I teach standard  expectation of a French individual which is considered advanced vocabulary here which should not. I teach it because it helps students communicate more naturally, more clearly, and more authentically with native French speakers. For example, in class you might learn “parce que.” It’s correct but native speakers often use “car”. Or instead of “exactement,” you will hear “évidemment” much more in everyday French. I introduce these expressions so my students can: • understand native speakers more easily • express themselves with confidence • feel comfortable in real-life conversations • and access a level of French that helps them truly belong and manage to stop a Parisian in a rush not just “get by.” In France parce que is equivalent to bare minimum and not acceptable on high school level. My purpose is to lift them up, with no comparison to others. I want them to shine in their learning journey, to feel good about their progress, and to discover a version of French that is natural, respectful, and empowering.
