About MAYA
I'm an Environmental Science student at Plymouth University. I have a lot of teaching experience both with Italian and English. I grew up between Italy and England, having an English father and Italian mother, hence allowing me to learn both languages as a native speaker. I have taught more than 40 students of all ages and levels. I have been teaching for over five years but my passion for sharing my love for both my native languages is as strong as ever!

Learning a language is not simple, but to make it easier and more fun I like to make my lessons as interesting and stimulating as possible! I try to find topics that interest my students to offer them quality reading and conversation material to develop their speaking and comprehension skills. For less advanced students grammar is key to learn the language, but it is taught in context and in an interactive exchange.
