About Siddharth

I am an incoming Masters student in Computer Science at the Arizona State University. Currently, I am working as a data science consultant at DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance where my work involves figuring out biases in funding and grant processes. This was implemented in python with support from standard mathematical libraries.
Earlier, I worked as a software engineer at Cvent where I developed 2-Factor Authentication for the main Cvent login page. Here, I worked on Java(Dropwizard framework) and React with Redux.
I actively practise Data Structures and Algorithms in Java as I prepare for software engineering interviews in the coming months.
I have taken several workshops on version control and dynamic programming in my college where I also cofounded the ACM student chapter.
I know it might be a tough call to decide, so hit me up and let's talk on your specific needs and what I can offer to suit you best.

About the lesson

Programming is best learnt by doing. So, it will be a righteous mix of code and theory afterwards. I liked the approach in a fast.ai course by Prof. Jeremy Howard and will seek to implement a similar approach.
1. For each lesson we will first implement code for the topic and then go over the theory. Firstly, one does not get bored(which is very important) with this and secondly, the context of the theory is much better after this.
2. We will regularly practise at Leetcode, Hackerearth and InterviewBit to enhance our experience.
3. The exact content can be shaped by what all is already known to you and what all I can best offer.

I love the way he teaches, taking examples with an attempt to convey a thorough understanding of the language. You will get a 'feel' as to why some concept came into picture or why some functionality is provided by the language. He is so in touch with the community that he generally knows why a change has been made to any of the libraries/language and what are the implications. I would trust him if I had to learn all over again.
