About Alvin

I am a violinist that has been playing the violin for 8+ years, starting from when I was 6 years old. Although I am young, I am better than a lot of tutors offered to me, which is how I know that I am suitable to tutor. I come from a very good background in music, as a lot of the activities I did as a kid involved music or violin. (competitions, performances, multiple orchestras, etc.). In school, I am always the best violinist, usually by a long shot, so I can assure you that I will get you on the right path for improvement.

About the lesson

I am an experienced violinist that is willing to offer help to beginners who are trying to learn the basics of violin. I am also open to intermediate level violinists (3-4 years experience), who are trying to improve their technique or get rid of a bad habit. A typical lesson plan would be constructed by both what I think is best for the student, and what the student thinks they need to work on. Really, anything from the beginner level to the intermediate level is what I teach best.

Alvin is an awesome teacher. I've been playing the violin for several years and I'm trying to learn more advanced pieces for my state violin competition. Alvin really helps because he's won all-state awards in California and knows exactly how to help me improve. I'd recommend him to anyone who wants to learn from the best and improve their violin skills!

Alvin is the best violin teacher! He's super patient with me, always taking the time to explain things so I can understand them. Even when I make mistakes, he encourages me to try again and helps me improve. I can tell he really cares about teaching and wants me to love playing the violin as much as he does.
Also, Alvin is one of the best violinists I know! He plays so beautifully. He's my biggest inspiration to keep learning and one day, I hope to play as well as him.
