About Sean
I am a Violin tutor with over 5 years of experience and hold a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Studies with a focus on Violin. My teaching blends traditional technique with modern technology to help students refine their playing. I use tools like slow-down apps, DAWs, MIDI notation, and video feedback to break down pieces, analyze performance, and track progress. These tools make practice more precise and engaging. I am passionate about teaching diverse genres, including Jazz Violin, Rock Strings, and Indie Folk. Students learn to explore both stylistic nuances and technical challenges within these styles. Improvisation is a key part of my lessons. I create custom backing tracks that allow learners to experiment, compose, and develop their musical voice confidently. I work closely with each student to tailor lessons to their goals, whether improving technique, expanding repertoire, or enhancing stage presence.
