About Raelene

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance and 5 years of experience teaching violin. My love for music began through classical training and performing opportunities that deepened my appreciation for the instrument. Teaching allows me to share that passion while helping students develop their own musical abilities.

My teaching philosophy combines structure, encouragement, and flexibility. Every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to match individual strengths and learning styles. Through technical exercises, musical exploration, and performance preparation, I help learners build confidence while improving their skills. Supporting growth and enjoyment is always a key focus.

Outside tutoring, I enjoy performing chamber music, exploring new repertoire, and continuing my own musical studies. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching violin is rewarding because I get to witness students develop confidence and musical expression over time. Helping learners discover their potential keeps me motivated every day.

About the lesson

My violin lessons focus on building strong technical foundations while encouraging musical expression and creativity. Students learn posture, bow control, intonation, rhythm, scales, sight-reading, and performance techniques through structured and supportive instruction. I help learners understand how technique and expression work together to create beautiful music. This balanced approach supports steady musical development.

Lessons are customized according to each student's experience and goals. Beginners focus on proper setup, basic techniques, and simple melodies that build confidence. Intermediate students strengthen tone production, accuracy, and musical interpretation. Advanced learners refine performance skills, technical precision, and expressive playing. Consistent guidance and feedback help students improve while enjoying the learning process.

I believe learning the violin should be both rewarding and inspiring. My lessons encourage patience, dedication, and creativity in a supportive environment. Students gradually become more comfortable performing and expressing themselves through music. My goal is to help learners develop skills they can enjoy for many years.
