About Germán

I am a violin student, in the last year of my bachelor's at the Conservatory of the Universidad Mayor. I have a course in early music from the Alberto Hurtado University, and I a a diploma in Conducting w/ mention in youth and children's orchestras at the same university. I have experience playing in youth orchestras such as OSNJ and Student Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Santiago, string quartet, contemporary ensemble, and I was also an extra of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Santiago for about two years. I was awarded a scholarship to the Interlochen Arts Academy in their summer camp, and I have attended small courses; recently, an online workshop with Elisabeth Faidley, professor at the Manhattan Conservatory.

About the lesson

My classes are based on what I learned by oral transmission from my conservatory teachers. I use various study methods, believing that there is no "perfect" method. I always include some music theory from the beginning, hand out printed material, and leave written assignments.
