About Sharon

I am a violin, viola, piano teacher and a teacher of music theory with many years of experience. I trained for my B.A(hons) at the Birmingham Conservatoire and my M.Mus(perf) at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Following this, I began performing with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra as well as Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet. After moving down to Dorset, I freelance as well as teaching in many schools and privately at home. I have had many pupils who have moved onto becoming professional musicians both in orchestras as well as soloists. I teach privately in my home and I also offer online lessons in all instruments. I am very flexible in my teaching and will offer a variety of styles of music to make the lessons well informed and interesting.
