About Harpreet

I graduated from Suzanne Cory High School, one of the select entry high schools, and received a 97+ ATAR and a 46 study score in general maths, placing me in the top 1.3% in the state. Currently, I am a medical imaging student at Deakin University and a recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Full Scholarship. I have over 1000+ hours experience of tutoring, with over 5 years of experience.

About the lesson

Teaching is incredibly fulfilling, especially when you see students excel in their studies. Helping them grasp challenging concepts and witnessing those 'light-bulb' moments is truly special. It's more than just sharing knowledge; it's about creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

As a tutor, certain principles guide my approach. Patience is key, recognising that everyone learns at their own pace. I avoid putting students in boxes, adapting my methods to meet individual needs for a more effective teaching strategy. Flexibility, accessibility, and giving undivided attention are crucial aspects. Alongside tutoring, I see mentorship as vital, aiming to guide students positively through challenges.

I am located in Geelong so can travel to local libraries for in-person tutoring sessions. I am also able to provide online sessions. These in-person/online sessions can be individual or in a group setting. Out-of-class support is always available and I answer my students' messages as soon as possible.
