About Janice
This is my 27th year teaching elementary students, and I have a bachelor's degree in education and earned my master's degree in curriculum and instruction. I am highly qualified and have many resources to ensure your child receives appropriate, yet challenging, instruction to best meet his or her needs. I am flexible in scheduling and develop great relationships with my students. I can help your child gain confidence and utilize strategies to maximize growth.

I have 27 years of teaching experience in elementary education and am still in the classroom loving what I get to do every single day. Learning should involve a comfortable environment, a friendly tutor, and engaging lessons. I will provide lesson objectives, a place where your child is willing to take risks, and a summary will be provided after each lesson. Games are incorporated into lessons to spark interest and to help students learn in a non-threatening way. In addition to still being in the classroom, I have tutored online since the pandemic and have had great success in reading, writing, and math instruction with students K - 5. References can be provided upon request. Allow me to work with your child to raise his or her level of achievement.
