About Graham
I have taught up to GCSE Mathematics and Numeracy as well as GCSE, BTEC and A-Level Physical Education.
As my own children are getting older I find myself with more time to help fulfil the potential of other children along with those who I already teach.
I have worked with pupils with ALN for a number of years and now teach full-time in an ALN department of a local High School.

I am a very experienced teacher (20 years + in secondary education) with an innate ability to help all children find the best way to learn for them. I have worked with children from 11-18 years of age and all range of abilities. I have yet to find anyone that I am unable to help achieve their potential!
I ensure that my lessons are interesting and engaging and focus on relating topics to real life wherever possible.
I firmly believe in ‘chunking’ tasks and information and follow the principle of ‘I do, we do, you do’. By first showing pupils the correct methodology, then guiding them through it will finally allow the pupils to understand and apply it in exam and real-world conditions.
Regular reviews are also something that I use each lesson, along with relating all topics learned to exam questions and scenarios. This allows me to check the understanding of the pupil and identify further areas for development.
