About Joyce

I am a first year university student commencing my Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)/Masters in Pharmacy at Monash University in 2021 looking to gain tutoring experience with students from prep to year 12. I specialize in mentoring VCE Units 1-4 students in Accounting and Psychology, achieving raw scores of 40+ for both subjects in 2020. I am also available to tutor VCE English Language. For Prep-Year 9 students (Pre VCE) I am available to tutor General English, Mathematics and special electives upon request.

I have a musical background of AMEB Grade 8 piano, AMEB Grade 4 Violin and enjoy playing the drums and electric guitar recreationally. Am also available to tutor preliminary-grade 8 students in piano.

I have a vast experience with having close contact to young children, babysitting and noting their personality and traits. Therefore I am able to establish unique ways to help them learn, and this stretches beyond young children to students of all ages.

About the lesson

My teaching methods are geared towards all students from curious-minded students to the ones who may not enjoy schooling as much as others.

I always like to get a good idea of where the student’s starting point is, what they would like to achieve in what length of time, how they like to learn in the past and suggest methods that may help them learn faster not harder.

For VCE lessons I provide comprehensive notes, tutorials and extra assistance beyond the lesson if required. I also provide guidance come trial exams/exam time for tips and tricks and how to make the most of even 10 mins of revision.

In addition, I also provide subject selection services to guide your child in VCE subject selections even if they have no grasp as to what they would want to do in the future-as I was in the same position during subject selections and know I would have appreciated someone who understood the system to provide me with the best advice to help me achieve my best possible ATAR.
