About Gabriela
I'm a Junior at Vanderbilt University majoring in Human & Organizational Development and Psychology with a minor in Business. I'm from Scarsdale, NY, but I have fallen in love with Nashville and plan to stay after college.
I have always been an incredibly hardworking student, essentially learning how to tutor myself best and teach myself concepts that I found difficult in school.
I have tutored for 8 years in Math, Spanish, Science, and English. I've worked with students ages 8-17.
I had a 3.95 unweighted GPA in High School, a 3.96 GPA in college so far, and a 35 on my ACT. I have been a straight A student my entire life and am committed to making sure students I tutor understand subjects so they can get good grades and feel capable of doing well!

I give students bite sized lessons focused on skills or concepts they are confused about from class. Then, I provide multiple practice problems to evaluate growth. I also give homework with challenging questions related to each subject.
I'm extremely patient, understanding, and hardworking. I enjoy working with kids and truly love to teach. I try to make my tutoring fun and exciting and use positive reinforcement to make sure kids are learning and feel satisfied.
