About Uttam
I’m a researcher and educator who’s really passionate about Earth Sciences, climate change, and the Himalayan environment. I work as a climate researcher, studying past climate patterns using tree rings to understand how our planet has changed over time.
I’ve always been curious about nature, and that curiosity naturally led me toward teaching. I genuinely enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, relatable explanations and using real-world examples so students can actually connect with what they’re learning. Instead of memorization, I try to encourage critical thinking and curiosity.
For me, teaching is not just about sharing knowledge—it’s about inspiring interest, building confidence, and helping students reach their goals. I also hope to nurture in them a lasting appreciation for science and geography that goes beyond the classroom.

My teaching style focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than just memorizing them. Instead of simply rushing through the syllabus like in traditional classrooms, I try to build a strong foundation by connecting topics to real-life examples from my own research on climate change, the Himalayas, and Earth processes.
I also adjust my teaching based on each student’s pace, making sure no one feels left behind. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and engage with the subject rather than just passively learn it. To make things clearer and more interesting, I use diagrams, maps, case studies, and everyday examples.
Ultimately, my aim is not only to help students perform well in exams but also to help them develop real analytical skills and a lasting curiosity about geography, geology, and environmental science.
