About Zhewen
Hello! My name is Leo, a third-year student at the University of Technology Sydney and a native Mandarin speaker (TOEFL 106). Over the past two years I’ve tutored heritage children, Korean and Japanese classmates, and local Australians. I don’t want my students to study Chinese merely for exams; I see the language as a key that unlocks the rhythm of poetry, the flow of calligraphy, the punchlines of crosstalk, and the door to genuine cross-cultural dialogue. Watching a learner crack their first joke or write their first couplet in Chinese, I feel I’m widening the road that leads to another world. That’s why I want to make tutoring my long-term mission: to help more people hear echoes from a thousand years away and discover the joy we all share beneath our differences.
