About Laddie

I study Mechanical Engineering/Commerce (Finance) at USYD, and having recently gone through the HSC (Finished 2024) I understand the struggles and time management very well. Personally, I was able to improve from getting a C in math in year 10 to graduating top of my school, while maintaining a social life and regularly spending time on my hobbies. So I hope to be able to share all my strategies and knowledge with you! I genuinely enjoy teaching and tutoring, having established my own peer tutoring program in high school with 80+ participants, to being a Business school mentor at USYD. AND it's clear that this has a genuine impact- I have students who stuck with me since the start of tutoring, despite changing other tutors multiple times.

About the lesson

Subjects offered: HSC Math Extension 1, Advanced, Standard (Some of my current students are ranked top 5 in selective school cohort, 97% assessment mark, I also ranked first within my high school for math) HSC Physics, Chemistry (Student ranking first in cohort, 95%+ test scores, I ranked first in my high school for both subjects) I tailor the lesson to student requests, but generally lessons have a mix of: - Conceptual explanations, (I use analogies and simplified examples, and focus on student understanding of WHY it works. - Pre-exam exam technique session, with mock timed tests and live feedback based on the marking criteria - Free homework setting and marking, at no extra cost - Any time support- if there are any issues or quick questions, send me a text anytime, and I will help out at no extra cost For physics and chemistry, I also: - Improve long response structure: I improve the student's written responses with proven templates and strategies for common questions (Improved my own response from 80%- 95%+) - Bring in real-world implications, I study mechanical engineering at Uni and can relate concepts to real life -Connect underlying principles, I give students the full picture, which differentiates their response from others that just study within the HSC scope
