About Claire
I’m a University of Alberta psychology undergraduate with a patient, supportive teaching style. I enjoy helping students feel confident and motivated, especially when they feel stressed or overwhelmed. I explain concepts step by step, check understanding often, and adjust the pace to each learner. As a bilingual tutor (English & Mandarin), I can clarify ideas in the language students are most comfortable with. My goal is to build strong foundations, good study habits, and steady improvement—not just finish today’s homework.

I’m a University of Alberta psychology undergraduate offering Mandarin Chinese and homework support for elementary and junior high students. Lessons are structured, patient, and tailored to each learner’s level. For Mandarin, we build pinyin, pronunciation, reading, writing, and conversation with clear explanations in English or Chinese. For homework help, I guide students through math and English reading/writing, then teach study skills, organization, and step-by-step problem solving. A typical lesson includes a quick warm-up, focused practice, and a short review plan for the week. Online or in person near campus.
