About Siddharth

Hi! I’m Sid, Before my credentials, I'd like to get straight to the point. Lessons with me would be unorthodox. I'd focus on keeping it exciting, find what works for you and cultivate that.

Back to my credentials, I'm a London-based guitarist and performer with 12 years of playing experience and 200+ stage performances. I’m Trinity grade trained, have played in multiple bands, and I’m currently the lead guitarist of a rock band I formed in London (we placed 1st at the Queen Mary Battle of the Bands and 2nd overall in the University of London competition). I’ve taught classical/acoustic guitar before, including online during Covid, and I’ve also run band performance coaching sessions of 100+ students. I’m genuinely passionate about teaching, I’m patient, encouraging, and I love seeing students improve week by week. Because I also sing, produce music in Logic Pro X, and play multiple instruments, I can help you become a well-rounded musician, not just someone who copies shapes on the fretboard.

About the lesson

My differentiating factor is how unorthodox my teaching style is. All guitar classes follow a usual path, which does not necessarily work for everyone. I've identified the drop off point, where people lose interest. I'd focus on combining skill building with things that keep it exciting. We can cover your favourite songs, and if you are keen on long term, I could give you stages to perform at too.

I teach acoustic, fingerstyle, classical and electric guitar with a performance-first approach. Lessons are fully tailored to your level and learning style (beginner to advanced). We’ll build solid technique (posture, tone, timing, left-hand strength + right-hand finger independence), then move into chords, arpeggios, fingerstyle arrangements of your favourite songs, percussive elements, scales, theory/ear training, and eventually improvisation and soloing with chords. Typical lessons are 60 minutes. Available online, in-person in London, or a hybrid plan (in-person for key technique checkpoints + online for guided practice and progress). Many students learn best with a more personalised, modern approach, so I’ll tailor each lesson to you and help you sound musical quickly.
