About Caitlyn

Hello! I’m Miss Tune, a dedicated tutor with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). With 5 years of experience in education and specialised training in SEN strategies, I understand that every learner is unique and deserves personalised support to thrive. I specialise in creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel safe to explore, make mistakes, and grow. Using a variety of teaching methods tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges, I help build confidence and skills in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and organisation. Whether your child is struggling with specific learning difficulties or just needs extra support to keep up in school, I’m here to provide patient, compassionate, and effective tutoring designed to meet their individual needs. When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy running and being outside but also baking which helps me relax. My hobbies help me bring energy and creativity into my lessons. I look forward to working with your child and helping them reach their full potential!

I believe every student learns differently, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). My approach is highly personalised and student-centred. I use a variety of evidence-based techniques such as multisensory learning, scaffolding, and positive reinforcement to engage students effectively. Lessons are structured yet flexible to adapt to each learner’s pace and style. I incorporate visual aids, hands-on activities, and technology where appropriate to make learning accessible and enjoyable. Regular progress checks and open communication with parents or guardians ensure that each child’s evolving needs are met. Including 2 week reports during the tutoring experience. Sessions usually last between 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s age, attention span, and individual requirements. This duration allows enough time to cover the lesson goals without overwhelming the learner, maintaining focus and motivation throughout. I hold a level 3,4,5 in Specialised SEN support which is same to a degree. I have 5 years of experience working with students with SEN. I have worked with learners diagnosed with ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, and other learning differences. My background includes collaboration with schools to lead interventions and teach core subjects to SEN students and parents to create consistent, supportive learning environments. My lessons are designed for children and young people of all ages, typically from 5–16 years, who have SEN or require intervention support. Whether a student needs help with literacy, numeracy, organisation skills, confidence-building, executive functions. My tutoring adapts to suit their unique needs and academic level—from primary through secondary education.
