About Sophia
Hi! I’m Sophia, and I’ve spent the last 6 years helping students across the USA find their unique voices. I graduated with my degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the University of Texas at Austin, and since then, my mission has been to bridge the gap between technical "book" learning and real-world performance. I’ve worked with K-12 students in school choir programs and mentored college freshmen navigating their first year of music school.
One of my biggest achievements was being awarded the "State Youth Mentor Award" for my work in helping students transition from middle school choirs to competitive high school ensembles. I don’t just teach you how to sing; I teach you how to understand music. My sessions often dive into music theory and reading because I want my students to be independent musicians. Having taught hundreds of live online lessons, I’ve perfected the art of using high-quality audio setups on Zoom and Teams so that we can hear every nuance of your tone. Whether you want to master a classical aria or a modern pop ballad, I’m here to provide the professional guidance and encouragement you need to shine!

My online one-to-one live lessons are designed to be a transformative experience for your voice. Whether you are a beginner in elementary school or a first-year bachelor's student preparing for a major performance, I provide a structured yet fun environment. We will focus on vocal health, breath support, and stylistic versatility. I am happy to prepare the lesson according to your specific needs; if you have a certain song, audition piece, or technical challenge in mind, tell me the topic in advance and I will have a custom lesson plan ready for you! I teach and prepare you for Music Reading, Music Theory, Music Education, Choir performances, Voice Coaching, and I can even provide piano and violin accompaniments for your practice sessions.
