About Akhil
I'm Akhil, based in Chandigarh. I studied History, Economics, and Public Administration at Panjab University, and prepared seriously for UPSC Civil Services — which taught me how to understand subjects deeply, not just memorize them.
That experience also showed me how rarely students get explained why something matters, not just what to write in the exam. I teach because I remember what it felt like to sit in class and nod along without truly understanding.
My sessions are concept-first, example-driven, and tailored to your pace — in English, Hindi, or Punjabi. I don't just want you to pass. I want the subject to actually make sense to you.

Most tutoring sessions feel like a repeat of school — the same textbook, the same notes, the same confusion.
I do it differently.
Before I teach anything, I find out why you're stuck. Is it the concept? The language? The way it was explained? Once I know that, I teach to that gap — not to a general syllabus.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
When I teach the French Revolution, we don't start with dates. We start with a question: "What makes ordinary people overthrow a government?" Once you're thinking about it like that, the facts fall into place naturally — and you actually remember them.
When I teach Economics, I connect every theory to something you've seen in real life — inflation, unemployment, budget news. Suddenly it's not abstract anymore.
I've also prepared for UPSC Civil Services, which trained me to explain complex ideas simply and connect subjects across disciplines. That's a skill I bring to every session.
You won't just pass your exams. You'll understand what you studied.
